Film Photography

I find portraits incredible, especially in a natural environment. As a photographer, a career I prefer over designing, I can capture a personality with just a glance into or away from the lens. With an environmental portrait, there is a diverse way of capturing a feeling: either they allow you into their world, or you let yourself in from afar. From afar, you can catch nuances, feelings, out of context movements. With a direct connection, you can enter a world that has never been captured the way your personal eye has seen.

I prefer a natural light, or even unnatural but unaltered: darkness, shadows, and reality. The reality of light within a “natural” space that isn’t changed purely for a photograph. It’s yet another look into a world of a person you haven’t met.
